ABOUT Margot
Margot Marcou has worked as a special educator since 2010. Her career started at Landmark High School in Beverly, Massachusetts. There, she worked with students with dyslexia, ADHD, and executive function deficits, among other LBLDs. She taught various courses in this setting, including Language Arts 1:1 Tutorials and Study Skills, Literature, and Writing classes. She worked as the Assistant Director of the Prep Program for seven years and, during that time, was the Director of the Skills+ Summer Program, which focused on explicit study skills instruction for middle and high school students. Additionally, she has privately tutored high school and college students for the past ten years. She is also a Lead Faculty at Landmark Outreach, consulting with school districts to provide educators with classroom strategies to support students’ executive functions and LBLD. Margot is adept at reading student testing, connecting with students, and using her extensive knowledge in the field of executive function to individualize her instruction to meet the needs of learners.
Margot earned her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College in 2010. From there, she worked at Landmark High School, where she earned a Master of Science in Special Education for Moderate Disabilities from Simmons University in 2015. She is a Professionally Licensed Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (Grades 5-12) with an endorsement in Sheltered English Immersion. Margot also earned a Certificate of Mastery in the two-year professional development course LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling).
Margot lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts with her husband, Avnish, and their cats, Archie & Fig. She loves literature, traveling, and walking. She is also passionate about working with young adults to provide the support they need.
So many students navigate college life without the support they need. Let Margot make the difference.
